Surface first
Living rooms can use polished or satin finishes, but kitchens, bathrooms and parking areas need better grip and easier cleaning. Bring your room size, light level and expected foot traffic before choosing.
Strength and maintenance
Ask about body type, thickness, stain resistance and edge finish. A slightly practical tile usually gives better daily value than a design selected only from a close-up sample.
Showroom tip
View floor tiles flat on the floor, not only upright on a rack. This makes shade, reflection and joint visibility easier to judge.
